hello,

just filled the old girl up... (  ;-)  )

The reading on the gauge shows only 3/4 full. Can this be adjusted or is something more serious going on?...

you will have to trouble shoot a bit more to determine if you have a serious problem or not..could be as simple as a heavy/impregnated float...or could actually be a bad component or simple again as a faulty wiring run/connection..

mine shows nothing except when getting empty it will bounce back and forth.i finally fixed my odometer so I can go by mileage to know when I need gas.   capt. den

Stops might need adjusted, float arm bent, someone replaced the sending unit using one that doesn't fully match the OE ohms, bad ground to name a few things.

Mine reads about 1/2 a tank with key on, and empty with key off. Manual says the #2 post is grounded out. Checked the sending unit with a meter and its reading 0 ohms empty or full. Sucks cause I put in about a year and half ago.
