  1. This is what I have been using for the last 5yrs. Runs ok on it.... Doubt if it is available overseas...?
  2. Good luck and enjoy. For me to participate, just a hair too far... ?
  3. Good idea. Have not done this… next ride will be the folowing weekend. Grtz
  4. could very well be.. I have no idea how long ago the last clutch job was. The previous owner did that. On the other hand, the noise does not change if I push down the clutch pedal....thanks for the suggestion.
  5. Mmm… I doubt if it would be audible between the windnoises. It is subtile and not extremely loud.
  6. Notthing I did yesterday was the solution to get rid of the noise…??????. Just made a long drive and the chirping birds are still there. Grrrr….
  7. New inspection today. I have found the four bolts that connect the gearbox to the drive shaft very loose...I have set my hopes on this. Tomorrow we have planned a 200km trip. After that, I'll know... ?
  8. thanks for the replies so far. I am pretty sure that it has nothing to do with springs or shocks or so. On a rough road the noise is not worse.; It is driving me nuts.. Wheel bearings.... mmm.... perhaps; How can I test this? There is no noise when the car is on the rotary lift and I spin the wheels.grtz
  9. When driving, I hear a strange noise of which I can't point to anything so far... It's a noise compared to a bunch of crickets under the car. I have the feeling that the noise is less when the car has to pull (driving uphill) and the noise is stronger when you take the foot of the gas. Could this have something to do with te universal joint? I have checked for loose connections and greased everything possible even the springs... any of your wisdom is welcome. Thanks, greetings from Belgium
  10. dam*nd should have looked better... I see Berbaum has them.... sorry...
  11. not meaning to hijack the subject but do you have any idea where to find the rubber pieces that seal the pedal from the sheetwork. These square rubbers are totally worn out. grtz
  12. I have lost a couple of them too... 1st ...Write down your telephone number at the inside . 2nd; look for a spot where you can stick (preferably) a few strong neodymium magnets between rim and hubcap. They got to have the correct thickness, so take a blob of clay and squeeze it between the hub and rim/ This blob of clay will tell you the exact thickness of the magnets to buy. The hubcap will stick like you have welded them to the rim ? . greetings from over the pond!! Franky
  13. thanks big time!! greetings from belgium!! Franky
  14. do you have such an exploded view laying around somewhere..?
  15. ok thanks!! I'll check this out in the coming days. grtz
  16. any idea how a dashboard easily can be removed from a 53 cranbrook (conv). I see two bolts on each side but are there more? or is there somekind of manual available? Thanks for helping and a Happy Newyear!! greetings from Belgium!! Franky
  17. I have Spotify on my cell phone. I will connect it via bluetooth to an amplifier. Just need to install a speaker somewhere...
  18. Thanks for offering Bob but my dash is different. I might end up building two speakers into the front seat like someone suggested... grtz
  19. does the size 6 X 10 inch make sense for the speaker?
  20. hi! I recently bought a bluetooth module that I can hook up with the cell phone (and spotify for expl). does anybody got a good reference on a good speaker that would fit in the original spot in the dash? And do I have to insulate this speaker from the ground since the car is still original 6v pos. grd.? The 12 Volt supply is coming from a 6 to 12 volt converter... thanks and happy holidays!!!
  21. thanks for the replies!! the Cranbrook is a convertible and the removable top is ok. The interior, seats and door panels could need a replacement. The quote I got so far made me tumble from my chair because the guys says he has to " redesign" everything wich consumes a lot of hours. He told me to look for prefabricated fillings or cutting patterns that could help save time (and euro's) ? but... I have no hopes of finding stuff like that.... greetings from Belgium and stay corona free!
  22. hello folks, I would like to redo the upholstery and side panels from my car. Is it possible to find and buy pre manufactured materials such as filling or covers? would someone have some kind of cutting pattern for such seats? I don't think I will have positive answers on above questions but asking is free isn't it.... grtz
  23. thanks for the hints guys. It seems like I have some more things to check... I'll get back on this...
