Jeff Balazs Posted February 17, 2015 Report Posted February 17, 2015 Every once in a while you come across something that just sez it all. I found this the other day.....and had to have it. Jeff 5 Quote

Jeff Balazs Posted February 17, 2015 Author Report Posted February 17, 2015 That looks like it ought to be on Paul's truck. Agreed......but with a slight change. Back from the dead.........twice! ( even if he was responsible for it's demise the second time around) I think this sticker is perfect for all of us who have resurrected one of these old trucks. Pretty much sez it all. Jeff Quote
Young Ed Posted February 17, 2015 Report Posted February 17, 2015 (edited) Ok Jeff what should mine say? My 46 previous owners blew up the flathead, threw it away, ripped the truck all apart and were about to put a 350 in it. Edited February 17, 2015 by Young Ed Quote
Jeff Balazs Posted February 17, 2015 Author Report Posted February 17, 2015 Ed; Surely "Back from the dead" covers that.? It could have just sat until it faded away. There are a ton of us who have or are in the process of bringing one of these back from a long sleep. In my mind it is the perfect statement for us. Quote
BobT-47P15 Posted February 19, 2015 Report Posted February 19, 2015 There is a fellow in our area who resurrected a 1950s Chevy pickup into a street rod sort of thing........ on his license plate it says "WZ JUNK". Quote

Frank Elder Posted February 20, 2015 Report Posted February 20, 2015 Ok Jeff what should mine say? My 46 previous owners blew up the flathead, threw it away, ripped the truck all apart and were about to put a 350 in it. Saved from a Chevy transplant! Quote
Jeff Balazs Posted February 22, 2015 Author Report Posted February 22, 2015 Maybe I see this a bit differently than most? But to me "Back from the Dead" means it is back.....and more or less as what it started off life as. Throw a SBC in it or chop it to smithereens and then it should just say "it's alive" like the phrase from Frankenstein. All too often the true character of these vehicle are destroyed by too many mods. They are at that point something very different than what they were when they were built. In my mind there is a point when "Back from the Dead" no longer applies. 1 Quote
_shel_ny Posted February 22, 2015 Report Posted February 22, 2015 I suppose that if I ever get the bug to have a Dodge truck this would be where I would start. Someone has already done much of the disassembly. Quote
