Desotodav Posted January 1, 2015 Report Posted January 1, 2015 The hour has already passed for us here in Oz where we have turned the page of the the calender for not only a new month but also for a new year, so I now find it timely to send the following message to my fellow forum family member's: Wishing you all good health, happiness, and success in the coming year and always. Happy New Year! 4 Quote

DonaldSmith Posted January 1, 2015 Report Posted January 1, 2015 We stayed up until 10:00. (We had seen the Sydney fireworks on TV earlier.) Someone in the neighborhood must have been on our schedule; he set off his fireworks at about that time. We old folks don't see much in staying up late, or sleeping in. Today is a holy day in our church. Bu they are realistic, and aren't having the first Mass till 9:00, and another one at noon. They had some vigil masses last night, for those who figured they would't be in very good shape this morning. So, Happy New Year, everyone. 2 Quote

BobT-47P15 Posted January 2, 2015 Report Posted January 2, 2015 (edited) Wishing everyone a happy and prosperous 2015. This time, we went to Tulsa, OK (just over 100 miles from home) with three other couples to ring in the New Year at a bar and grille right next door to a hotel (you simply walk to the place....no driving needed). This was a change .... as I usually play music at someone else's event and have done it for many years. (The fellow I play with said this was the first time in 65 years he has not had a New Years gig.) When we got back to town today, we went to our Elks Lodge where they were serving free blackeyed peas, cornbread a bloody marys. Always nice to start the new year off seeing old friends.
