pflaming
We were expecting some appliances from Sears. Arrival time between 12:OO and 2:00. They came at 12:15. I got a call that the delivery men went to the door and no one answered. However on the door I had hung a sign, beware of the dog in the house, I am in the back. And I drew a rough map with arrows. The lettering was large enough to read from the street. Looks like a major language barrier to me. I should call Sears and tell them if the people they do business cannot read English then why should I patronize SEARS? Getting tired of this multi-language (non language) society. Sorry for the rant, but this is 'Off topic'. Edited November 4, 2014 by pflaming
Plymouthy Adams
yeah...I know what you mean...I have even heard of folks putting in the wrong engine oil just recently...you think they would read the labels....and if reading is a problem..at least one should be able to use the weight listing NUMBERS on the label as a symbol of correct product...people these days...what can you do? The numbers were the only thing I could read on the advertising sign on the back of the bus I followed for a little ways today. The rest was in Chinese. From the photo and form of the ad I assume it is for a Chinese language TV station but I could be wrong.

Where did you hear of someone using the wrong oil just recently? I recently told you the story of me walking out of an oil change depot because they would not install the non synthetic oil I wanted because the manufacture recommended synthetic oil be used in my engine. Now did someone else install the wrong oil in there engine because they did not read the label?

I almost flunked English in high school but I had a good teacher and did learn how to comprehend the meaning of recommendation. That is why I walked out of the oil change depot.
