Tom(77) a co host with his brother Ray on the long running PBS show CAR TALK has gone to the big recycling yard in the sky.  Known for long distance car fault diagnosis, and humorous banter on cars and there related troubles.  Always entertaining, sometimes correct, they provided many years of wasted hours, puzzlers, shameless commercialism and onomatopoeic support staff names. RIP Tom, condolences to Ray.  Remember, don't drive like my brother.....

Tim, I'm surprised. They were a hoot. As someone said, they were even right sometimes. Never serious. My wife is even saddened.

Gene...sad part is that I may not have had enough of their air time to fully get the gist of their program and may be selling them short, I did not find them humorous......but I am not one for any talk radio..I hate DJ's with a passion...I do not do radio at all....thus my not taking to their show in the long run....it's just me fellows...just tired of many things these days...

I listen to them most Saturday Mornings on NPR in WI.  I think they are very funny and amazing sometimes with there diagnosis of problems.

Huge loss.

I love talk radio, I have learned a lot of interesting info and ideas from talk radio, learning keeps your mind young..
