I went to school with Carolyn Rene Ann Pudenz..........I'd rather be called Carp.

In my high school days I was nicknamed Arnold after Arnold Ziffle on Green Acres because I could imitate his grunt so well. It eventually became Arnie. Several years after graduation I ran into a classmate from vo-tech at a car show. I was standing at my car which had my name on the owners plaque in the window.

Mike says "Hi Arnie, is that your brothers car?"

Me: "No it's mine"

Mike: "Ha Ha good one! I see it belongs to Tim"

Me:" I am Tim"

Mike:" No you are Arnie"

He wouldn't believe me and finally my wife showed up and told him. I had known him all through high school and he had never known my real name. Several old friends still call me Arnie when I see them.

Enjoyed reading this ...I've been tagged with various nicknames -some less than complimentary - doesn't bother me. However, personally I tend to distance myself from whiners .
