casper50 Posted September 27, 2014 Report Posted September 27, 2014 the sills don't line up with the bottom of the fenders either. Quote
Oldguy48 Posted September 27, 2014 Report Posted September 27, 2014 I do like the looks of those cowl mounted mirrors, although the one on the passenger side must be decorative only. I don't think it would be usable to the driver. Even one I had mounted on the passenger side door of my P15 was useless. Wayne Quote
Plymouthy Adams Posted September 27, 2014 Report Posted September 27, 2014 By jingies, yer right! I was so engrossed out by the grill I never noticed the fenders, just the profile. Plus I never really imagined anybody would do that to a DeSoto. And the dash was/is Plymouth... this car was probably robbed of its grill and stuck into some chebbie abortion long before it was salvaged Quote
DJ194950 Posted September 27, 2014 Report Posted September 27, 2014 Looks like he had a little accident with his right rear fender. Damage from the tire when the shackle broke because of the 5" lowering blocks and hit the back side of the fender and broke out a lot of bondo! Sledge hammer repair! DJ Quote

Uncle-Pekka Posted September 28, 2014 Report Posted September 28, 2014 the sills don't line up with the bottom of the fenders either. Well, they do not - that's the way the rocker sills are from factory. They are supposed to be covered by the stailless rocker mouldings from rear fender to front wheel opening. Old Dad, you're right, we're tough - Tough, but rightenious This is like concours of elegance - or miss pageant contest - prepare to be torn in pieces if you dare to participate! Quote

Plymouthy Adams Posted September 28, 2014 Report Posted September 28, 2014 I don't care for the billet bucket either but move the lights and other things we don't like it is no longer a private built custom car...best way to combat this is not even promote these vehicles in any manner or media..
