bluebanshee Posted November 11, 2014 Author Report Posted November 11, 2014 Slowly coming together. Harder when you do most of it by yourself. 2 Quote
bluebanshee Posted November 12, 2014 Author Report Posted November 12, 2014 Panels are slowly working their way onto the truck. Everything is just snugged at this point. Quote
Jeff Balazs Posted November 12, 2014 Report Posted November 12, 2014 That is going to be one nice looking truck! I looked long and hard at a 57 with a poly ....... in the end it was just too much of a rust bucket for me. Enjoy it.....you hardly ever see one. Jeff Quote
bluebanshee Posted November 19, 2014 Author Report Posted November 19, 2014 Got the doors closing nicely with acceptable fender to door gaps. Few more bolts to tighten up and its ready for the hood. Quote
ruff1148kr Posted November 19, 2014 Report Posted November 19, 2014 Wow Looks great going to be a head turner Quote
Larry Leibhart Posted November 20, 2014 Report Posted November 20, 2014 I will second or third that. Really going to be impressive. Quote
bluebanshee Posted November 21, 2014 Author Report Posted November 21, 2014 Hood fits pretty good but tail gate will need some persuasion to close nicely. Tailgate should be bolted up and hopefully have some brackets done this weekend for the rear bumper. Quote

bluebanshee Posted February 25, 2015 Author Report Posted February 25, 2015 (edited) Not a lot of progress. Got all new door glass mostly new gaskets installed. Head lights, tail lights and turn signals and bezels installed. Rear bumper is coming back off to paint (white). Edited February 25, 2015 by bluebanshee Quote
White Spyder Posted February 25, 2015 Report Posted February 25, 2015 (edited) That model is what I am looking for! Hard to find. You are doing a great job. Edited February 25, 2015 by White Spyder Quote
bluebanshee Posted June 19, 2015 Author Report Posted June 19, 2015 (edited) Just need to finish up a few small things and it is ready for the road. Bed is nearly bolted down. I went with composite decking and all stainless strips and hardware. Edited June 19, 2015 by bluebanshee 1 Quote
bluebanshee Posted August 3, 2015 Author Report Posted August 3, 2015 (edited) Finally got the truck on the road and racked up 150 miles over the weekend. Runs well and pulls to 70mph easily enough and holds about 2,000 rpm at that speed. Should do over 100 but don't think it will ever see those speeds. Brakes are getting bedded nicely and stop pretty well. Averaged 14mpg but I think it would get 15-17 with minimal effort. Edited August 3, 2015 by TodFitch Quote
The Oil Soup Posted August 3, 2015 Report Posted August 3, 2015 What is the bed material and who makes it? Quote

I am having my share of door gap problems will wake till I have it on hard level surface with more room than the tent I work in. Love the color , not a lot of trucks that color make it unique .. Fantastic job. Quote
