Came across these parts in my box of goodies that came with my 48 Dodge basket case.Hoping some one can help? Another question I had was where the lower front fender  brace attaches to the car?Are the brace`s at right angle to the frame?

Thanks

First two appear to be engine splash pans. They go on the frame along side the oil pan. The one with the hole in it goes on the fuel pump side.

Thanks Ed i`ll try that tomorrow.Never would have looked down there.

On my car the one with the big hole goes on the steering column side and the pitman arm (or whatever it is called) extends through it.

Yes - splash guards.  The hole in the one is for the steering box and pitman arm to extend through.  The other photo I can't tell.  The rectangular piece looks like its fiberboard (?) but it does not look familiar.  I can't tell if that other piece is the cloth anti-squeak that goes between body panels, or felt.  If its felt, I don't recall where it would fit on the car.  I'd have to look at my car when I get home for info on the front fender attachments - which I will do.

Yes the top pieces are fiber board  and the lowers are felt about 24" long with 3/8 "holes.

I just can't remember a rectangular piece like that on my car.  The felt may be the seal between that removable panel over the fluid drive and transmission, and the floor of the car.  I used foam rubber strips originally for sealing camper shells to pick-up truck boxes on mine, as the original felt pieces were completely shot.

As far as attaching the fenders; they aren't attached to the frame at all.  The fender well is bolted into the fender along the top, and at one bracket at the lower outside rear of the well.  The rear of the fenders attach directly to the cowl on the body, and the front of the fenders, actually about 1/4 of the length from the front, are bolted to the radiator frame.  The radiator frame supports the entire front of the "dog-house".

Hey Dan,

where the front fender is attached at the lower rear corner, does the brace connect to the inner and outer fender?I have these small twisted brackets that might do the job. They again are parts I  have extra? The splash pans went on perfectly,(well lets say pretty good )no ones perfect. THANKS FOR THE HELP  I will check on the floor pan idea for the felts.

Yes, there is one small "twisted" bracket on each fender.  There's a mounting hole in the corner of the inner fender.  I'll have to check to refresh my memory on the attachment point on the outer fender.  If you don't figure it out in the interim, I'll take a photo of it and post it when I get home this afternoon.  But I also just had an epiphany.  Is your Dodge a Canadian D25 model?  If so, that rear attachment point may be different than mine, since the rear of the fenders between the Canadian and U.S. models are different (the Canadian being a-la P15).  Regardless, a photo will sort that out.

Where are you located in Ontario, anyway?

Got the fender mounts figured out thanks. The felts were for the floor pan. That onley leaves the fiber boards and a piece of steel trim around 6' long curved with mounting holes every 8"to 10" .Too long for the front window, maybe something to do with the seats or headliner?

Thanks again for the help.

I am about am hour from Port Huron Mi.,just outside Strathroy Ont.

Cool,  I go by Strathroy a few times a year.  We used to live in Port Huron, now just outside of Buffalo.  I take the shortcut through Canada between here and Michigan for both work and personal visits.  Saves 3 hours, and a much nicer drive.

I've got the photos if you still need some reference.  Bit of a pain to post them, so I'll defer to necessity before I do.   Good luck with the car!
