Those on a truck chassis? Looks like one ton wheels and dual at the back.

I find it interesting that in the first link they tell how difficult and expensive it is to import one of the old vehicles, and how much hassle it is to register.

I bought my old Fargo in Canada, with a notarized bill of sale and nothing else, it came in with no tax. With the bill of sale and the paper they gave me at the border, I had a title in my hand in 5 days.

That old 49 Chevy in the first picture may have been an airport limo.  And/or it might have made a good road vehicle

for a traveling dance band of the day.  In a note on the back of the picture, I apparently offered $1500 for that car

back in 1972.  It was sitting at a thrift shop along Highway 71 near Pineville, MO at the time.  Have no idea where it

went from there.  Always thought it was cool.  Probably would have been a real chore to restore.

That DeSoto/Dodge looking truck is cool.  Sometimes vehicles of that type were used as tour buses in  national

parks in this country.

I have had that photo in my files for a long time. I don't recall where I found it but It is titled in my files as a Desoto.

I posted that photo up initially Don - it was post#10 in this topic.... http://p15-d24.com/topic/30373-cute-little-51-bus/ . I had a friend over here (who also has close ties to the bus industry) send me a few photos of old buses. The Desoto bus pictured was from here in Oz - hence the right hand drive.
