Todd B
My first b1b that I had in 1980 (aka D.C. Pete). I gave it to my son 12 years ago when he turned 16 and I FINALLY am seeing the finish line. My son and I helped my painter buddy put the hood on yesterday. It is getting closer, soon it comes to my shop for the wood running boards and box boards and then back to my buddies for the interior. My son is going to buy primed wheels and paint them the dark brown with babymoons in the middle. I cannot wait until our luau next August so some of you can see it. I was upset my son changed the color from midnight blue but now I absolutely love the color. Before and after pics.

pflaming
You made some very nice choices. Well done!
Todd B
Thanks for the comments, but my son is making the choices. He is the one writing the checks so I guess that gives him that right. The only thing he did that I disagreed with is he put an Auto trans behind the 327 small block. I would have kept the 4 speed. Todd B
Finally got my sons truck back to my shop for new boards in the box. Back in 1980 I made wood running boards out of oak. I just ran them through my sander and stained to match the copper color. Lots of little items to do yet and I am hoping to have done for luau in August. We got crazy busy and it will never happen. Todd B
I had to back the truck out of my shop to load some cabinets. I left it run for 15 minutes while I loaded, I looked over and the anti freeze was pissing all over the ground. I beleave the radiaor sprung a leak. That sucks, I have no time to finish the truck let alone fix what I thought was done.

Merle Coggins
Hopefully it's still runable enough to roll it out and show off your work so far when we're up there in a few weeks. Merle
pflaming
Put some coffee grounds in that radiator for a quick fix (south of the border survival tip).
Todd B
Mark, I remember asking your girl freind if the Vikings are going to have a team this year since they have'n thad one for years. I starting to think she might have poked the hole!!! Merle, I will have it rolling by then, I also hope to have the boards done in the box and the interior. We are crazy busy at work and I am working out of town alot. Sucks but I like it better then no work at all.
