Today's most stupid headline (so far..the day is yet young)

Unstoppable Cyclone makes landfall in India.....

So if this one was unstoppable, tell me....just how many have we been able to stop in the past?  What did or did not work this time around?   Inquiring minds want to know...!

Don  there is no permission and no access, your vigilink is however active and has you cornered...

the word stoppable was in this case highlighted for what ever reason I have no clue nor could I break the link....I did try.............

Nothing to read in my opinion outside the very stupid headline as it was written giving indication that we do have control over some major storms..to me it was ridiculously funny....that is all

Precisely, Tim. I've worked in the news business for over 20 years now. Headlines like this drive me batty.

Who ever HAS stopped a cyclone?

What may have happened in this case is a headline written by someone for whom English is a second language. But the news media today have eliminated so many editing jobs there's often nobody left for whom English is their first language, who will react as do you and I and say, "Woah, 'Unstoppable?' ... How about we go with 'Unrelenting?'"

I believed you the first time Don and regardless of what the linked word "unstoppable" took you to...I can only state yet another time...it was not my insertion but one of the forum software automatic highlighting  link-a-doos

I had no explanation on the highlight...again GTK's software is responsible for that...I could not in disconnect the link the software applied..maybe he can put in a work request to see what went wrong

I do not go around clicking highlighted words any more than I joust with windmills..lol

Seems like everybody has laid off their proof readers, even the Vatican: http://www.nytimes.com/2013/10/12/world/europe/coins-celebrating-pope-misspell-name-above-all-names.html?_r=0

It's not vigilink. You can tell by the mouse over on the link. It's an external link and I got the same Yahoo error.

I did not roll the mouse over it...and I did not copy and paste anything..that was a hand typed word that the forum by whatever format changed to a hyper link...I deleted the word..still came back linked...I clicked on  color change to black..notta no sir you stick with the link...
