De Soto Frank Posted August 15, 2013 Report Posted August 15, 2013 On the subject of door rubber, it has been my experience that when one goes to Steele or Restoration Specialty, etc, you get a variety of different extruded rubber weatherstrip profiles, most with the application description: "fits many 1940's MoPars"...That isn't too helpful for someone whose car is missing the original weather-seals, or what is there has turned to shapeless blobs of fossilized rubber... It would be nice if and when someone does find the correct rubber for a given application, ie: 1941-'48 - trunk seal, all sedans; or 1941-'48 door weatherseal - all 4-door sedans, and so-on, if they could post a vendor / part number.Perhaps we could make a "stickie" for such a purpose ? 1 Quote
