They're not Dodges, but pretty cool anyway. The Chevy appears to be on a later model 3500 dually chassis. And the FWD... What can I say except COOL!

Merle, thanks for posting the pics.

I am definitely not a shiverlay fan, but that dually is impressive. I would want to get a much closer look.

I was over by the Chevy again later and got to talk with the owner. It is on an '84 Chevy 4 door dually chassis with a 454 and no frame modifications. He bought the truck as is, but he believes it to be a factory '57 four door cab. Although they never officially made 4 door trucks in '57, apparently they did build a few specially for the Railroad. He claims that when checking under the cab and in the door jams everything appears to be one piece factory stampings. If it's not a factory cab then someone did a REAL good job making it look like one.

Oops... Sorry 'bout that. I moved them in my Photobucket and didn't repost the new links.

By the way... the title should be "Inspiration for Mark's TODD". When I posted it from my iPhone the auto correct "fixed" it.

ha, my garage isn't big enough for either of those, altho I'd lean more towards the white one.

The FWD would be awesome to own, my dad worked there for 43 years.  Its on my bucket list to own one in memory of my dad.

Have you drawn it up on paper Mark? Or have I missed that in other posts/threads......

so far just the sketch on the bar coaster.  I'm VERY good at 3D visualization in my head and I have lots of him there already, I do need to start with some dimensioned drawings tho.
