tylorelliott91 Posted May 16, 2013 Report Posted May 16, 2013 Does anyone have any sites with full detailed draqimgs of the chrysler inline six? I need the names of some engine parts to try and get my plymouth running. At least learn more about it before attempting. Quote
Plymouthy Adams Posted May 16, 2013 Report Posted May 16, 2013 you should go online and purchase a service manual, book form, not CD. These are usually available on E-bay for a reasonable sum and quality reproduction books. Then upon receiving it I recommend you familiarize yourself with the components outlined in each chapter including the lube section, recommended lubes and lube intervals. Quote
P15-D24 Posted May 17, 2013 Report Posted May 17, 2013 Also get a factory parts manual for your vehicle. It has detailed pics of all systems, plus names and, most important, factory part numbers. Quote
Silverdome Posted May 17, 2013 Report Posted May 17, 2013 Here's a place to start for free. www.allpar.com in the search block type in mopar flathead six and it should help with history and some cutaway views. Quote
Alshere59 Posted May 18, 2013 Report Posted May 18, 2013 http://mopar.pairserver.com/p15d24ph_forum/links/link/43-1936-to-1948-plymouth-parts-reference-manual/ This link will have it. follow the info and look around page 152. As others have said buy yourself a manual and parts book. It will help. Quote
Don Coatney Posted May 18, 2013 Report Posted May 18, 2013 Keep in mind that the Chrysler and Desoto inline 6 is bigger (2 inches longer) than the Plymouth Dodge inline 6. Quote
