woodjunky Posted January 16, 2013 Report Posted January 16, 2013 While removing the inner front fenders, the keeper trim nuts fall apart Is there a supplier that we can get replacements from ? I see the ones listed on Ebay but they seem to be fine thread. Quote
ggdad1951 Posted January 16, 2013 Report Posted January 16, 2013 the clips for the inner fender to outer fender ACME bolts? Those are ACME threads and are not available thru any source I was able to find...I snap them up off every truck I see when I go picking, I might have an extra or two. Quote
John-T-53 Posted January 16, 2013 Report Posted January 16, 2013 I thought those were 5/16-24 (fine) thread, like all other 5/16" body screws and bolts on these trucks? But yes, no one makes (that I've found) a 5/16" fine u-nut. All are coarse threads. Quote
desoto1939 Posted January 16, 2013 Report Posted January 16, 2013 Check Restoration Supply in Windber PA. They carry a great deal of clips and nut and bolts. Rich HArtung desoto1939@aol.com 1 Quote

All are coarse threads. for the next person looking for the fender j-nut and bolts 5/16-24. just got a package of them from AMK Products inc. kind of a bummer on the minimum order but they are the correct thread 2 Quote
John-T-53 Posted November 8, 2014 Report Posted November 8, 2014 What was the minimum order? How do they look and fit compared to the originals from our trucks? Quote
Brent B3B Posted November 9, 2014 Report Posted November 9, 2014 I think the j-nut looks good (Left is my original) the washer on the bolt isn't square but, I figure I can use them on the floor boards not a lot of Chrysler products in the catalog they sent the minimum is $30. plus shipping........ I ended up with a pack of 50, I thought I could use them on the floor boards and fenders. 2 Quote
John-T-53 Posted November 9, 2014 Report Posted November 9, 2014 Great find, Brent! You could always pawn off some of the extras you don't need to other members here too :-) 1 Quote

While I have about 8 original J-Nuts that I could clean up like the one in my photos I found it simpler for me to just buy all new ones. I tested them out on my fenders, floor pan, and the cowl where the center hood section connects and they fit in all areas easily. I liked that the new ones are stamped T 56-24 just like the original ones. Phil Edited August 2, 2016 by Phil363 3 Quote
