TR Waters Posted January 15, 2013 Report Posted January 15, 2013 This is currently on ebay. I didnt know if I should post the link. Anyone ever seen a conversion like this? I guess they didnt care for the Dodge style. I have asked the seller for some close-ups of the cab corners, etc. Quote
Plymouthy Adams Posted January 15, 2013 Report Posted January 15, 2013 I always wondered what a cut down wagon would look like..I wonder no more..poor girl has some serious rust in the very common/rust prone areas...the sliding windows has a lot to do with this I think..the rockers are poor throughout the 49-52 series...I would like to have seen a picture of the bed floor..thanks for posting.. dudford Posted January 15, 2013 Report Posted January 15, 2013 aaww, jeez, what a mess, someone has to either save that or put it down Quote
Greenbomb Posted January 15, 2013 Report Posted January 15, 2013 How 'bout that- an American Ute!!! Quote
RobertKB Posted January 15, 2013 Report Posted January 15, 2013 Looks like there are a few "wagon only" parts there. Wonder what the seller is asking. Shouldn't be much more than scrap price. Quote

Scruffy49 Posted January 15, 2013 Report Posted January 15, 2013 That's actually kinda neat. Someone down here did that years ago with a 49-51 Mercury sedan, bed innards were from an early import mini truck. I need to go see if the Merc is still in a family friend's junkyard, because I've got a runs perfect late model wreck I could swap it onto and finish the conversion... Once done they tend to draw a lot of attention, most of it positive. My brother in law did that to a 62 Dart 4 door, I had a 68 Catalina somebody did that to... Quote
TR Waters Posted January 15, 2013 Author Report Posted January 15, 2013 Yes, it is rough. But different. It doesnt look like there was much finish work inside the bed. Quote
BobT-47P15 Posted January 16, 2013 Report Posted January 16, 2013 (edited) And actually, that back window area (rear of cab) doesn't look too bad proportion-wise. Some conversions are kinda funky in that area. And here is a stock suburban. Edited January 16, 2013 by BobT-47P15 Quote
Jim Benjaminson Posted February 8, 2013 Report Posted February 8, 2013 The story I've heard on this pickup is there were several built for a flower shop chain. Don't know anything more but if anyone knows something about them, I'd like to hear from you! Quote
