The only mount available on a 241 hemi is a front style mount. There are no mounting ears on the block for L&R mounts. The original mount was under the water pump.
What would someone have to pay to have the block shortened? I dont see it as a cost effective alternative to buying a later block. Contrary to popular belief, they are not that scarce.
Installing slightly larger valves is an easy operation, and I would highly recommend it. There are many available, and the majority at a lesser cost than original valves. Plus using an 11/32 stem allows the sleeving (vs replacement) of the valve guides. My .02.
Nothing coming down right now. We have a total of maybe 6 inches where I am in central Vermont. It looks like alot because the ground was bare prior to this.
This is currently on ebay. I didnt know if I should post the link. Anyone ever seen a conversion like this? I guess they didnt care for the Dodge style. I have asked the seller for some close-ups of the cab corners, etc.
