50 Dodge Lug Nut Posted January 5, 2013 Report Posted January 5, 2013 Some very interesting pictures here. http://hipspics.freewebspace.com/gas/gas.html Quite a few MOPARS if you look for them. Most curious is the one pic from the Nebraska State Historical Society (#14). Check-out the sign propped up on the building. Were they predicting our future? Frank Quote

Jim Benjaminson Posted January 6, 2013 Report Posted January 6, 2013 The first photo is Art Lacey's Bomber service in Milwaukie, Oregon. It is still there but as a restaurant instead of a gas station. The plane is slowly being restored..... Quote
RobertKB Posted January 7, 2013 Report Posted January 7, 2013 The first photo is Art Lacey's Bomber service in Milwaukie, Oregon. It is still there but as a restaurant instead of a gas station. The plane is slowly being restored..... I googled the service station/restaurant http://www.roadsideamerica.com/tip/1056 and the plane is still there minus the cockpit which is now stored elsewhere. Suprising the plane has not been sold as it is worth a lot of money even in its present sorry state. That plane would make a great static display for a museum or for someone with enought bucks it could be made airworthy again. There are people/organizations out there that have that kind of money.
