4th Transatlantic P15-D24 meeting

Firstly, apologies for being a 'lurker' for such a long time.

I've been too busy to post messages but I have been checking in on a fairly regular basis.

I've been encouraged to get back in the saddle by a message from RoadKingCoupe.

Jeff's in London this week and we met up on Wednesday evening to take a ride around town in my car.

The weather was dry and cold - no problem for a hardy Canadian - so we cruised with the top down!

It's always a pleasure to meet Forum members and talk about cars and the meaning of life!

My nephew may be being posted to London for his job for a month or 6 weeks coming up early next year. If he gets there I will have hime try to look you up. Showed him some you the Rythym Riot stuff on the web, he is interested in that era historically.

This past Wednesday night Robin went above and beyond the call of (P15-D24) duty. On relatively short notice he appeared in downtown London with his wonderful red P15 vert. As it was just around the freezing mark (32/0) degrees it was obvious that the top had to be down.

Not only was the tour fantastic, weaving through all the great sites of London but as we drove through the streets with people waving and showing their pleasure with "thumbs up" hand signal.

Robin has a solid car with good pickup and clearly handles the narrow streets of London very capably. He was skilled at driving a left hand drive vehicle (on left hand driving streets) and as we motored by a Maserati received the full head turn as we passed.

The night was illuminated with a full moon and clear dry streets, which only aided and abetted a much appreciated "English jaunt" around town.

Thanks is hardly enough to describe the hospitality and "surreal" experience of touring London from the seat of a big American fat fender-ed convertible coupe.

No need to turn your monitor over. Just press "Ctrl", "Alt", and the "Down Arrow" and it will flip the display for you. To get it back to normal use Ctrl+Alt+Up Arrow
