1952gary
Parked the truck one night with everything working and the following day the gas gauge was not working. Any thoughts from the experts? Things already checked: Fuse ok Wires attached to gauge tight Wire to tank appears connected
Merle Coggins
Someone stole your gas? My gauge will sometimes stick at "E". I give the glass a tap with my fingers and it works again. Merle
ggdad1951
like mine...bad sending unit possibly?
1952gary
I drove up to the shop today and the guage started working again. I will order a new sending unit to see if this fixes the problem. Thanks for your input.
pflaming
It may be losing it's ground. On some other treads, some have attached a ground wire to the sender. If the connection to the sender gets corroded it will not work or will work sometimes, maybe more when it is dry then when it is wet. 52b3b Joe
I'd look at the ground first.
1941coupe
Recalibrate with a new sending unit as per maintenance manual.
