Chance,

Wagering a guess but there has been more than once in my short life I've wished for a small extension to an interior sun visor for when the sun in just the wrong place. I think this would fill that bill.

Looks fairly typical of the visors on several makes of cars from the 1930-32 time frame when they stopped using the external "cadet" style visor and started using an inside visor but before they put it on an arm that would allow it to swing to the side.

exist an accessorie like this in the 50's, the make is "polaroïde" in france, you can find this kind of sun visor in some of supermarket and car accessories shop

My 35 Dodge is sporting one of those. The visor part is a dark green translucent plastic materiaol. Mine is warped from excessive heat and resting on the wiper knob in the up position.
