Plymouthy Adams Posted June 7, 2012 Report Posted June 7, 2012 B I N G O Do look for the slots these will clip into..most time there be 2 per door but some can have one on the back side in addition... if you need more of these, Restoration Specialties do have these in stock... Quote
Young Ed Posted June 7, 2012 Report Posted June 7, 2012 Tim nailed it. They go around the top of the door to hold that rubberized U channel in place. If you look in the channel of your doors you should see the slots they go into. Quote
Desotodav Posted June 7, 2012 Report Posted June 7, 2012 Very interesting. I have never seen these clips in the doors of my trucks here in Oz. So is their purpose to hold the 'run 23-42-16' (to the left of this manual diagram) in place? My trucks have a tab at the bottom of the 'channel 23-09-51' to hold the run in place, and the vent window frame stops the top of the run from moving forward. Desotodav Quote
Young Ed Posted June 7, 2012 Report Posted June 7, 2012 Thats exactly what they hold. My 46 has a tab at the bottom of the door and then I 2-3 of these in each door to hold the rest of it in place. I don't have vent windows. Quote
ggdad1951 Posted June 7, 2012 Author Report Posted June 7, 2012 ok great, that makes sense. thanks! Quote
