Plymouthy Adams Posted May 27, 2012 Report Posted May 27, 2012 appears to be a fairly popular color..think I will glue leaves and pine cones on mine just to be different..being the south maybe drape a bit of Spanish moss Quote
40P10touring sedan Posted May 27, 2012 Report Posted May 27, 2012 That year had running boards?...thought the lower door covered a door sill. Quote
greg g Posted May 27, 2012 Report Posted May 27, 2012 overspray on the radiator support shows the car has had at least one repaint to the current color which doesn't look like a MOPAR color except for maybe engine blue. Quote
randroid Posted May 27, 2012 Report Posted May 27, 2012 Gents, The clock and scrap value for the rest are worth more than the asking price. I'd be interested in whether or not it even ran except I'm not a buyer at any price so it doesn't really matter. It looks like it had an "Uncle Earl" (Scheib) paint job to cover something but who knows what. 40P10 - I've always called them "hidden running boards" for lack of a better expression. The doors cover them but there is a large (and expensive) rubber mat that covers them like you would find on open running boards. -Randy Quote

47heaven Posted May 27, 2012 Report Posted May 27, 2012 I noticed what I was prepping my car for paint that it had been painted that ugly blue color. Looks like the blue that was popular on a lot of the Mopar muscle cars of the late-60's and early-70's Quote

47heaven Posted May 28, 2012 Report Posted May 28, 2012 B-5 blue........ Was I right about the era of that color? Quote
Plymouthy Adams Posted May 28, 2012 Report Posted May 28, 2012 blue is not for everyone, I like your Easter egg car.. Quote
47heaven Posted May 28, 2012 Report Posted May 28, 2012 blue is not for everyone, I like your Easter egg car.. I know you do, Tim. You always have. BTW..it's Seacrest Green (a 1946-48 Chrysler color). Blue is a nice color, and that particular blue looks good an the cars it was meant for when it was developed, but not on a 40's or 50's era car Quote
BobT-47P15 Posted May 28, 2012 Report Posted May 28, 2012 (edited) I think many an old car was painted that sort of blue back when. It's kinda similar to an original blue that was used. Edited May 28, 2012 by BobT-47P15 Quote
