B1B Keven Posted May 30, 2013 Report Posted May 30, 2013 When it stops, give it a little turn back to the right and start again. They're a PITA!!! Quote
Merle Coggins Posted May 30, 2013 Report Posted May 30, 2013 The inner part of the know gets stuck on the cable shaft. You just have to work it back and forth until it comes free. Quote
ggdad1951 Posted May 30, 2013 Report Posted May 30, 2013 (edited) it should take about 3-4 full turns and then come off for a reference. If you force it too much you CAN break the half moon off in the knob (don't ask how I know this). Edited May 30, 2013 by ggdad1951 Quote

Dajudge Posted May 31, 2013 Report Posted May 31, 2013 (edited) Thanks guys. I will give it another go. On a side note trip number 3 to the dmv was successful. We now have a title in our name and the truck is titled on the engine which is original. Also, I found out that my best friend growing up's dad went to school and still is buddies with the son of the guy who owned a dealership that last used this truck as a tow vehicle in the late 60's till 76. Did you follow that? You can still make out the Well/Shaw Motors on the truck. Small world and pretty cool. I am hoping that they may have a picture or two of it in service.
