GaryPrice Posted December 23, 2011 Report Posted December 23, 2011 mounts, what do you think of these? http://www.ebay.com/itm/330655816241?_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649&item=330655816241&viewitem=&sspagename=STRK:MEWAX:IT&vxp=mtr It's expired, but I've noticed he runs them pretty often and they usually don't bid too high. One of my projects for the winter is shock relocation. Quote
Plymouthy Adams Posted December 23, 2011 Report Posted December 23, 2011 those be the ticket and the ones we have been talking about on here..I would gather that the bid history of nine alaready and the price it is at now the end results will be quite abit higher..how mcuh, hard to say...they go on other sites I frequent form 55 to 75 bucks a pair..makes my swap meet 2.00 a pair find still the deal of the year....everytime I hear a car pull up or a knock at the door I hide these and lock the door.. All I had to do was have a birthday and my brother inlaw gave me a pair off of his spare F1 front end.... Here is Tim's thread with some part numbers. littlemo listed a napa part number. http://www430.pair.com/p15d24/mopar_forum/showthread.php?p=278357#post278357 With the holidays I have been too broke to get the shocks for mine but maybe some time soon. littlemo Posted December 29, 2011 Report Posted December 29, 2011 (edited) Many who have used the F-1 or similar Dodge front shock mounts have made and installed "backing-plates" to reinforce the frame in the area where the two mounting holes were drilled !! This is the pair I made. Cass, alias littlemo ... Edited December 29, 2011 by littlemo Quote
GaryPrice Posted December 29, 2011 Author Report Posted December 29, 2011 Thanks for the words of wisdom. I secured a pair of dodge mounts for a good price from another board member. This board is a wealth of knowledge. Quote

You have made exactly what I had pictured in my mind. Quote

This is the pair I made. Cass, alias littlemo ... I have not yet installed my shock mounts but I have made backing plates a bit more beefy. I used 1/4" stock. I do like your welded nuts and I plan on doing the same. Quote
