Mopar Mick Posted December 23, 2011 Report Posted December 23, 2011 I have a 276ci Desoto and consider it a "real Hemi". I don't care what size they are, I consider them all Hemis. Mick. Quote

GaryPrice Posted December 23, 2011 Report Posted December 23, 2011 One of these days, I'm gonna build a Model-A or maybe even a '27-T roadster. My choices for drive train, in order, would be: 1) Early Baby Hemi (OK, I wouldn't complain about a 354 or 392 either) Tied for #1) Big-Bock Mopar with Sonoramic Cross Ram 2) 318 Poly 3) 3G HEMI with distributor conversion and early HEMI valve covers fabbed up to cover the coil packs and leave 'em guessing. My brother-in-law introduced me to a good friend of his when I was down in Houston. The guy built an awesome 36 Ford Rat Rod pickup with an LS motor and fabbed up Ford valve covers, then he ran the plug wires out the back and under the dash, where he'd hidden the coil packs. It's rare that anybody can figure out what kind of motor it is first try. He's actually had several folks ask, "Is that one of them new motors from Ford?" Quote
