call me crazy, but if you don't pull the simple things off that truck, you'll be sorry. The cables gauges etc don't take much time and I'd bet w/in a few weeks you can pass them along at cost to a member here that is desperate for those items. I did that on the truck up in East Bethel Young Ed found and I'm already passing on parts to forum members.

Atta guy, let us know what ya got, I might get something for "JIC"

If so, would like that.

Thanks,

Hank :)

sorry, no horn ring

I maybe interested in the glass cab lights.

Any chance it has a set of 6V fog-lights?

KJ

which lights are you referring to? if you are referring to the elevation lights off the top of the cab, i couldn't resist but get them myself!:D I didnt see any fog lights on it.

well, there was an air cable for a heater, but it was siezed beyond repair. as for choke and throttle, I will be needing those for my truck(s)

If you have the seized cable or could get it, I'd really appreciated it. They will loosen up after soaking in PB Blaster.

alright then, next time i run down there i will grab it for you. would you like the whole heater control bracket? the one with 4 holes for controls, there is the fan switch and a control cable, but thats it. model 61 heater, yard wants $52 plus core if you are interested.

Plus core? Does he have someone that rebuilds the heaters and has a waiting list for the unit? If he did, he'd of had them out of there by now. He's gotta be after the copper and brass and doubling up on it's value at that..

The upull lots do the same thing here. I paid I think 32+$5 core for the 98 saturn radiator I pulled a month or so ago and I think also a $5 core on the heater box I pulled for Mark. I don't think the total charge was $52 though thats too much.

Thanks!!!! Just the cable. If you can't separate it from the bracket, just send the whole thing to me, I'll separate them and send the bracket to Ed.

I've PM'd you my mailing address. Let me know how much shipping is.

I guess it's a good way to dispose of a damaged, non reparable unit that can't and shouldn't go in the regular trash. They come with a guarantee then don't they?

30 days from the place I bought from. They asked if I wanted them to mark the pilot house parts for warranty. I told them not to waste their time

Yeah, accumulation of misc parts over period of years that may never get installed but you got to get them when they become available. Who knows how long before the next one show up. I'e got parts stored for over 7 years for 3 different projects. My guess the warranty is off them!

Dave I was pulling parts off a 53 and I don't even own a pilot house! And I was really tempted to pull some parts off the 66 dart convert they had too.

I've been developing plans for another pilothouse project I'd like to do but I REALLY need to finish the one I've got first. I'm NOT collecting parts for that future project until this one gets done. Hopefully there'll still be some around.

you know you want to...

I've been tempted before. I've no room for another so I'll finish this one, drive it while I do the next two on the list. Last one belongs to my son so maybe he get to it before me. Then I'll hunt up a 5 window cab, B3 or 4 front sheet metal, B1 or 2 doors, BB engine or maybe one of the new Hemi's......

I have a 48 1 Ton for parts. Probably none of the hard to find parts but the truck is complete. The only item missing (so far) is the Ram off of the hood.

If you need some parts let me know and I'll check it out.
