(i have rebuilt some motors before) when i was looking in the interior i saw a speaker grill but no radio, how come? i bet ill have tonnes more questions when i start to work on it and there will be lots of pics to, im going to pick it up sometime during the week! i look forward to making friends on this fourm. B1B Keven Posted October 24, 2011 Report Posted October 24, 2011 Welcome to the Dodge family! Post up some pics of your truck. The flathead is easy to work on. Radios were a dealer installed option, not every truck got one. They are out there though. Does your truck have the radio delete plate to the left of the steering column? Here's some links that will prove useful. http://www.robertsmotorparts.com/truck_parts.asp http://www.oldmoparts.com/NAVIG.htm http://www.vintagepowerwagons.com/products/featured-parts-catalog.htm http://www.quietride.com/catalogpdfs/dodge_truck_catalog.pdf http://www.50plymouth.com/04-eng/eng.html Quote

oldmopar Posted October 24, 2011 Report Posted October 24, 2011 Post a photo of your truck if you can. Here are a few good reference links, both are actually parts of this web site http://dodgepilothouseclub.org/index.htm http://www40.addr.com/~merc583/mopar/framesets/techtipframeset.html Quote
ggdad1951 Posted October 24, 2011 Report Posted October 24, 2011 welcome! The "Pilots Knowledge" section of this website has a ton of info as well. http://dodgepilothouseclub.org/know/know.htm Quote
Dan Babb Posted October 24, 2011 Report Posted October 24, 2011 All trucks came with the speaker cover...even if it didn't come with a radio installed. Quote

oldmopar Posted October 24, 2011 Report Posted October 24, 2011 I do not think there is a option to subscribe to threads to get emails about replys. Or if there is its not automatically turned on. Quote
