tom'sB2B Posted October 7, 2011 Report Posted October 7, 2011 I bought new wiper blades, which seem to match up great with the old ones, but there isn't enough arm tension to keep them tight on the windshield Any suggestions? Quote
John-T-53 Posted October 7, 2011 Report Posted October 7, 2011 I have the same problem, although they do their job about 85% I'd say. It's the spring inside the arms that's not pulling enough. I'd like to hear any suggestions to make them less flacid too... Thanks, Quote
ggdad1951 Posted October 7, 2011 Report Posted October 7, 2011 little blue pills!??!?! Sorry, couldn't NOT say that! Quote
Reg Evans Posted October 7, 2011 Report Posted October 7, 2011 I have bent the wiper arms a little to add a little more tension on the blades. The best fix would be to find and then install new springs. Quote
Tom Skinner Posted October 7, 2011 Report Posted October 7, 2011 I haven't looked at mine recently, however, perhaps shortening the springs a tad and re-installing them would also apply some more pressure. Of course if one could find spring replacements that would be more desirable. Tom Quote
4852dodge Posted October 7, 2011 Report Posted October 7, 2011 Shortening the springs works, just don't go too far. Quote
