This may be a stupid question, but how do I get the fan blade off my B3C? The bolts were easy, but how do I remove the hub from the pump shaft? I can use a puller, but I am afraid of bending the blades. Heat? What am I missing? Thank you for any help.

kinda wedged on, just carefully work it back and forth and it'll come off, don't force it too bad or you can bend it! Maybe a screwdriver between the pull and fan to help.

Not sure yours is the same as the one on my old Plymouth. But on the assumption it is, there is a little stiffening curve on the stamped metal fan blades near the hub that provide a gap at the hub. I use a screwdriver as a small pry bar to walk the fan blade off. Just a little pry at a time on each of the four spots around the hub so it doesn't get cocked to much on its way off.

Clean the water pump hub real good to and put some penetrating oil where the fan mounts on the hub. After polishing off a beverage, small hammer tap the fan at the hub in a few places, then use the long handled screwdriver as a wedge between the fan and the pulley.

Thanks guys. With the help of a little aerokroil and a large screw driver, it came right off just like you said. I should have figured that out myself, but, then again, I often say that these days. Actually, I thought the blade was part of the hub. I should have known it wasn't. Thanks again.
