I have searched the web up one side and down the other and have found nothing to support the claims of said individuals selling car as 1 of X number produce in X year..not to argue their claim..but to relate these numbers to my car to a degree.

one such listing placed all 1954 Plymouths produced with automatics being a mere 5500 units..ok..given this, my question is how many of these were the Savoy Club Coupe..these club coupes had a 30,700 production count

then we have other conflicting data...power brakes were an option in 1954 but some say it was a retriftted 1955 assembly..question here, how did my 54 body get stamped with the booseter recess if not offered till '55...one heck of a marketing foresight..

I would really like to find some real production number for the 54 Plymouths..

As I would have loved to buy the OD I did check under the hood carefully. Sadly for me it had a powerflite. I suspect at some point the trunk lid got damaged and a replacement from an OD car was installed along with the old latch with powerflite logo.

I agree 100% on the eval Ed..

I have seen a few of the 54's with OD, I have seen Auto and PS combinations..but yet to see auto, PS and PB all on one car..

I believe the 54 had more trim and accessories to offer than about any other Plymouth of the 50's..they were times of low volume sales and bling often was the deal maker it seems...
