Good for you; I hope it all works good. Since they have made such great strides in eye surgery the last few years, I need to go in and see if they can separate my optic nerve from my anal nerve so I can get rid of my crappy outlook on life.

Best wishes for the right eye LAKOTA169, and I hope everything works out as well for you with the left eye. I had similar surgery to remove a Pterygium in my right eye early last year. It involved removing the section of my eyeball that was damaged and grafting a section from above my eyelid (with 8 stitches) back into the same area. I believe the procedure is very similar to what you are going through. You will probably find that your eyes are very sensitive to light for a while, so best to invest in a good pair of sunglasses. You will probably also find that your surgeon will recommend that you buy a good pair of sun glasses with wrap around lenses. You might even gain a bit of eyesight out of it!

Good luck and best wishes for your recovery.

Amazing! My mother went most of her life living in a blur 'till she got catarac surgery. She said she's never had vision this good. She cried when they took the bandages off when she saw how good she could see. Good luck on yours!

Had cataract/glaucoma surgery on my right eye today. Having the left eye done next Monday. So far, everything seems to be ok. Going for a follow-up tomorrow.

I had the SLT a while back. Wasn't really painful, but the results didn't last but a few months for me. It did leave me seeing a rainbow halo around lights for about 8 weeks.

Good luck with yours.

Good luck with everything!

I've had six eye surgerys all together. Cataracts at the young age of 31 and detached retinas in both eyes. It's amazing what can be done. I have 20/20 vision using mild perscription glasses. Aside from not being able to lift anything heavy anymore (so I don't tear the retinas again) life is pretty good...
