greg g Posted April 5, 2011 Report Posted April 5, 2011 (edited) Got out in the garage today and got Kate out and about. My wife named the coupe Kate in honor of Katherin Hepburn, as she says when she is on the starter, she sound like KH laughing when she was older. Any way the going on 5 year old battery took a charge and with a bit of gas in the carbs, turned her over and got her started. Plled out of the garage, checked the fluids, and the fan belt, made sure the battery caps were tight, and then went for a ride. I have a series of videos that I took during the ride but I am having a problem up loading them. I made a movie (about 20 minutes long) on the windows movie maker and saved it but it is ot showing up as a file anywhere. I will try to up load that after I get it edited and shortended down some. If some one is familiar with the transfer process from Windows movie maker to a site like Daily Motion, send me a PM please. Any way heres is Kate's, 2011 debut. http://www.dailymotion.com/video/xhyts5_waking-up-kate_auto Edited April 5, 2011 by greg g Quote

Don Coatney Posted April 5, 2011 Report Posted April 5, 2011 Two suggestions. Get a tripod and mount your camera behind the seat. Clean the dahm bug off your windshield as it must have been there all winter. Too early for this years crop of bugs. Quote
greg g Posted April 5, 2011 Author Report Posted April 5, 2011 Yeah, I'm lookin on line for a mount. What you got against antique bugs???? I prefaced my comments noting that she was still in her last years soil. Quote
Don Coatney Posted April 5, 2011 Report Posted April 5, 2011 What you got against antique bugs???? They dont taste as good as new crop does. Quote
MarkAubuchon Posted April 5, 2011 Report Posted April 5, 2011 Is it going to make it to Vermont, No worries I have a trailer hitch:eek: Quote
greg g Posted April 5, 2011 Author Report Posted April 5, 2011 Don't know, with its hard starting, low oil pressure, driveability problems, lack of power and horrible vibration, your hitch may come in handy. I need to get the diff pinion seal replaced because its leaking. ut other than that it should limp up there and back. Quote
james curl Posted April 5, 2011 Report Posted April 5, 2011 I am spoiled living in Texas as I do, I start my 48 P-15 every day and drive it. Will have to limit the mileage as I only get about 10/11 miles per gallon and gas is $3.60 a gallon today for regular. Quote
greg g Posted April 5, 2011 Author Report Posted April 5, 2011 James, did you get down to Austin for the Lone Star Roundup? If not did you get any travellers though your area? Quote
james curl Posted April 5, 2011 Report Posted April 5, 2011 Only about 1000 hot rods of the approximately 3000 came through our area. Went to the Round Up both days, the Rolling Bones brought five cars down from Pa. George Poteet was registered as the owner/driver of one of the five. Quote

James; One of my greatest pleasures when I was traveling for work was driving your car. I think I drove your car more miles in that one day than I drove my own all summer. Some day I hope to return the favor and toss my keys to you. Greg did take a spin around the block driving my car a couple years back. Quote
greg g Posted April 5, 2011 Author Report Posted April 5, 2011 The bones are actually located up north of Abany, NY near lake george and the VT border. Quote
james curl Posted April 5, 2011 Report Posted April 5, 2011 I thought that they were but the cars all had different state 1932 license plates on them, one NY, one Pa, one Con And George Poteers has Miss plates. Quote
