Can anybody recommend a resource to buy stock rims for a 47 P-15? I'm considering a second set for radial tires and keep my current bias ply tires on their rims. Any suggestions on where to get good condition rims? Thanks!

Only sources are ebay parts cars junkyards etc. No vendors that carry new ones that I'm aware of.

Just have to keep looking around.

Watch various parts sources, like the classifieds on this forum,

craigslist, hamb classifieds and swapmeets.

Son in law and I bought a decent set of four P15 rims with old tires

and hubcaps on them at a swap for $40 or $50 (I forget which)

last summer. Weren't looking real hard for any, but there they sat

at a seller's space.

They are out there, it's just finding them.

Best if found close to home so shipping cost isn't an issue.

Gotcha. So, anything that looks reasonably good; no obvious warp, dents, etc. Also is there a way to "identify" rims that work? Markings? So I got the "5" bolt pattern, but what about size, 15" standard? Seeing them at a junkyard on a heap is probably the most certain way to know they are right. Anyone have knowledge of possible junkyards in the San Francisco bay area to scout? Thanks!

I have a set of good 15" rims, five if needed. They all appear good and have tires on them that are holding air. They are all original to the same car and have the same colour and pin striping. They would of course need painting for any vehicle that looks good. I would remove all tires and tubes of course before sending. I can provide pictures if wanted. I am located in Lethbridge, Alberta, Canada. If interested, I will get a shipping quote through UPS. PM or email for more details.

Scotty, do you have any pictures of your car to post yet? I'm anxious to see one of my cars cousins.

not yet. i had to tarp it when it got here because of the rain. then i stuffed it in my back garage, it's a tight fit with all the "stuff" and the 55 vert. soon i'll push it out for some pics. i AM collecting parts though!:D

When I put mine on, I just cleaned the rims really well around where the tire beads, and bought threaded valve stems with an oval base.

i've had good luck also but i used rubber stems. they sell at least two sizes. the old tube wheels have a larger stem hole. Advance Auto has them
