JIPJOBXX Posted October 30, 2006 Report Posted October 30, 2006 Well here a picture of my old Dodge before the Maco Paint job and boy do I remember well all that sanding!!!! I had the hood oft for probably five years and wouldn't you know it that I had it all primed and ready to go when I went to get it and a cat had sprayed it and it had rusted and pitted where that cat had done it thing! Boy was I upset and then I had to remove all the primmer and fill all those little holes that the urine had eaten away on my hood. Jon Quote
Joe Flanagan Posted October 30, 2006 Report Posted October 30, 2006 Did you have much rust, and if so, how did you deal with it? Quote
Young Ed Posted October 30, 2006 Report Posted October 30, 2006 I'd be pissed. Was that pun intended????? Quote
John Burke Posted October 30, 2006 Report Posted October 30, 2006 BANG....thats how we do it here...dogs are OK, they don't walk on car hoods. Quote
Chester Brzostowski Posted October 30, 2006 Report Posted October 30, 2006 John, It's always nice having a little pussy around the house but they can give you grief from time to time. Chet... PS... For clarification I meant the cat.!!! Quote
oldfatman Posted October 30, 2006 Report Posted October 30, 2006 BANG....thats how we do it here...dogs are OK, they don't walk on car hoods. John; Any goats in your neighborhood? They do walk on car hoods. Least after the bang you could have goat stew Quote
Ed Griffin Posted October 31, 2006 Report Posted October 31, 2006 The wife and I were just talking about how to stop the cat (ours) from walking on the cars at night. Someone mentioned a pad from JCW or somewhere once that gave them a little shock once they stepped on it. I've never seen it but if it's around it sounds like a good try anyhow. Quote
Guest jtw3749c Posted October 31, 2006 Report Posted October 31, 2006 A friend's daughter has pads on her sofa to keep the dogs off. My friend says they work pretty good. Know how he knows/ Yep he set on it and boy did he get a surprise!! Also you can get sticky paper and lay it out where you don't want them to go and once they step on the paper, they don't come back to soon. I'll see if I can get some info on the pads if you want. Reg Evans Posted October 31, 2006 Report Posted October 31, 2006 My brother sets several mouse traps on th hood and roof and then gently installs his car cover. The noise scares the piss (oops, trying to avoid that) out of them. Quote
Ed Griffin Posted October 31, 2006 Report Posted October 31, 2006 Info on where to get the shock pads would be greatly appreciated JT! I imagine once the cat got hit by it a couple of times you could make some dummy pads that looked like this one and lay them on the cars. If the cat gets smart and starts up again then just swap out a dummy pad with the real one for the time being. Quote
