how much work is it to turn doors with vent windows into non vent window doors?

or does anyone want to trade? 48-50 style door that is.

I've been seriously considering it myself. With my chopped top, a non- vent windowed glass setup would be considerably easier than reworking the vent window.

Anyone got enough books to show if the vent window parts are the same between 46-47 and 48 and up?

The main reason for wanting to change is to make the truck look more like the picture of the one my dad had. i posted a pic of it earlier. a black and white photo. i would attach it again but my slow butt dialup is being extremely slow tonight.

also i figure that is one less place for water to leak in.

smallblockjunkie: could you send me some pics of your power window setup or a list of the parts you used?

I used specialty power window flat glass kit. comes with evevy thing you need to install power windows. costs a little more then others but made in the USA and easy to install. Of course you will have to get new fuzzies and window channel all universal stuff so not hard to find. got mine from so cal speed shop
