Just a suggetion. You have posted probably 40-50 threads with pictures of your drives and all of them are GREAT! I suggest you no longer start a new thread with every daily drive but use the same thread to post your new pictures. You could probably have the biggest thread on this forum

Great pictures Bob. I always enjoy them. I need to get my new camera out and take some pictures....just never remember to do it. Went to a small car show and BBQ last week and a young man (not yet 25, I think), had a 50 Plymouth he and his brother, who is about 28 years old had chopped 7 inches, and it has to be one of the best chops I have ever seen, and of course I had left my camera at home. I made two trips to town today, one in my son's '68 one ton daulie and naturally in the Plymouth. Each time I parked by the waterfountain across from the town hall. I had never taken photos from that angle

A couple years ago I pulled in to a little store several miles from here to get gas in my 46 Ford PU and these two boys pulled up and came pouring out of a car and came over, highly excited, and looked the truck over, asked me questions, ect. , then started showing me cell phone pictures of their cars, and telling what they had done and were going to do, ect. Interesting to meet such avid young hotrodders, but then I went my way and didn't give them another thought. This last spring I'm out in the shop tinkering with the 49 Dodge PU and a truck pulls up and I recognize the driver as a guy I went to school with. He had this young guy on the passenger side he introduces to me as his son, and he seemed familiar to me, and knew me already, and told me he was one of those boys I had met at the gas station. He looked all my cars over good. He wanted me to go to his house and see his projects and stuff, but I didn't get there that day, but after he had called a couple of times I did get over there, and I tell you what, those boys know cars, and have no small amount of imagination, and talent.

The older boy, who is 27 or 28 organized this little car show/bbq last week. He hired a 50's band, and did a smoked pig, which they did into pulled pork, set up a beer keg, and people brought food, and it was one of the best (albiet small, about 100 people and 25 old cars) function we made all summer. There wasn't any mopars except the 50 Plymouth, I don't believe, with most of the cars late 60's early 70's, and a couple of late 50's chevy pickups. I had the oldest with the 46 Ford PU, except for one of those 34/35 "kit" type coupes. It was mostly just locals that fixed and drive their own cars, almost all of which were just ordinary run of the mill "drivers". One of those things where you know some of the people, and have seen most of the cars sometime or another. Looks like he will probably make it an annual thing. I am really impressed with this young man, and not just about cars. He is a genuinely nice, well mannered young man who is a hard worker, with a little family started with their 1st baby having arrived this past spring.

Sorry to hijack your thread Bob!! I intend to start remembering to take my camera!! Joel
