dezeldoc Posted October 29, 2010 Report Posted October 29, 2010 Wasn't that in the move Grease!! man those flames got to go! Quote
michael.warshaw Posted October 29, 2010 Report Posted October 29, 2010 saw it the other day, i like it Quote
aero3113 Posted October 29, 2010 Author Report Posted October 29, 2010 The flames don't bother me that much but I think the window molding and dash should be a different color. Quote
Frank Elder Posted October 29, 2010 Report Posted October 29, 2010 Nice flames, let me stoke them a little higher, The first line reads original condition.....what a maroon. Quote
Don Coatney Posted October 29, 2010 Report Posted October 29, 2010 The first picture below is not the car for sale on eBay. I took the picture of this car at Auburn, Indiana in 2004. Makes me wonder if the flames are not true artwork but sold in a can. Here is the eBay car for comparison. Quote
Plymouthy Adams Posted October 29, 2010 Report Posted October 29, 2010 (edited) not my idea of the ideal set of wheels cap...other than being a four door...for a perosnalized car..looks good...oh yeah take the paint off the bumpers and headlight doors..and losse them red rims..egads... I think Don was taking pictures of the fuzzy dice..you can come out of the closet now Don.. Edited October 29, 2010 by Tim Adams Quote
Reg Evans Posted October 29, 2010 Report Posted October 29, 2010 That's a sweet little car EXCEPT for the flames. In my book flames look like graffiti or vandalism. Quote
aero3113 Posted October 29, 2010 Author Report Posted October 29, 2010 Do you think it has true dual exhausts? Quote
BobT-47P15 Posted October 29, 2010 Report Posted October 29, 2010 It is a nice car. My choice would be a solid color paint with no flames, but it IS different. Quote
BobT-47P15 Posted October 29, 2010 Report Posted October 29, 2010 (edited) Nice flames, let me stoke them a little higher, The first line reads original condition.....what a maroon. I like your spelling Frankie. Rather reminds me of something Norm Crosby would say. Edited October 29, 2010 by BobT-47P15 Quote
BobT-47P15 Posted October 29, 2010 Report Posted October 29, 2010 Here's one really nice, 49 two door.......done up by Howard Tarnoff. Quote
Uncle-Pekka Posted October 29, 2010 Report Posted October 29, 2010 I like the one @ eBay, also the flames. It is done in style and appears clean & tidy. The one in Don C's picture with painted bumpers and tit-like hub caps is hideous - just goes to show how thin the line between tasty and nasty really is. Quote
dezeldoc Posted October 29, 2010 Report Posted October 29, 2010 Loose the side trim on the fender on the one that Don posted and it is good to go! the other one looks like some kid's first try at flames! who puts blue in those style flames? red wheels? nasty, plane ol nasty i tell ya! Quote

The flames in the one with painted bumpers are also outlined with blue - if that's the key... Further, those flames are dull in finish - are they adhesive? Quote
dezeldoc Posted October 30, 2010 Report Posted October 30, 2010 The flames in the one with painted bumpers are also outlined with blue - if that's the key... Further, those flames are dull in finish - are they adhesive? They are just tipped not half of the flame. they are not flat just the light. Quote
Don Coatney Posted October 30, 2010 Report Posted October 30, 2010 I think Don was taking pictures of the fuzzy dice..you can come out of the closet now Don.. I am comfortable with my orientation:D And I am not orientated towards fuzzy dice Further, those flames are dull in finish - are they adhesive? That is why I thought they were bought in a can or a bubble pack. Quote
Plymouthy Adams Posted October 30, 2010 Report Posted October 30, 2010 had to throw them there dice in the mix..ain't much left since Norm passed..about 8 years ago I got a couple set of dice..price was just to good..hung the baby blues in the 54 just last week. Back busy on the house and other about the place upgrades..not much going on in the shop..so to make up the balance I do buy something for the old cars now and then just to think I am still active. Got a part on order now for the 54..will be a nice addition I hope. Quote
