Wanted 3 speed transmission

Hi Folks,

After trying everything under the sun to quite down my transmission, I have concluded its just worn out and needs replacing.

Anyone in the north east tri-state area (NJ, NY) have a 3 speed mopar transmission they don't mind donating? I am guessing 42-52 would work. The one in my 47 Plymouth seems to be worn out and is in need of replacement.

I have one--I just put a O/D in my 52 Cranbrook and have the old 3 speed. It had no problems and shifted smoothly. PM me and let's see if we can work it out---

Alex......have you looked in the Parts for Sale section of this forum?

Another source sometimes is the H.A.M.B. classifieds.

You might have to sign up as a member in order to view them,

but they have members all over the country. I have seen some

fellows trying to give away parts, and others trying to charge

plenty for them.

Any other old Mopar guys in your area?

A free transmission could be costly in the long run, save your money like the rest of us and get yours fixed or replaced.

As I mentioned at one point.....have seen guys trying to give away parts

including engines and trans.....just to keep them from going to the

scrap yard.

The thing would be if someone like that was close by......

I am thinking there is someone out there who no longer needs his after hot-rodding his car. I have been offered used engines and trannys in the past. perhaps I may get lucky again? As suggested, Ill try some of the other boards.
