Beatles65 Posted October 24, 2010 Report Posted October 24, 2010 Well we left the house today at 7:30am and picked up my buddy and then the suburban and trailer from my cousin and we were on the road by 9:30. We arrived in Tecumseh Nebraska by 10:30 and started to load the car. The first thing we did was clearing all the stuff from around the car. We then had to jack it up and take the car off of the ramps that it was sitting on and also fill all of the tires up as they were all, for the most part, flat. Its a shame as those tires were practically new but now all need to be replaced as they all are cracked from being flat. We then pulled everything out from the shed that goes on the car and loaded it all into the car. I really liked how well this car rolled as it is fairly light so my friend and I pushed it out while my brother steered. We pushed it about 100 feet to the trailer so we could load it on a level surface and then wenched it onto the trailer and then tied it down. We were back home by 3:00 but waited to unload the car to see the Nebraska Versus Oklahoma State Football Game. Great game, Nebraska won!!! hahaha but I digress. I tell you it is easier to unload a car then load it. Everything went well and it arrived safely to my place and I an very pleased and happy! Here is a little about the car. The engine is half way torn apart and is stuck so that is one of the first parts that I think I will tackle. I will most likely end up going though the brakes also. The floor needs some attention as it is rusted though in areas. Tomorow I plan on washing the car off as there is 13 years of dirt built up on it. The paint isnt the best, but I think it looks cool and really gives it that great original look and also a great patina but I will know more about the paint when I clean it all off. Tomorow I will post better pictures when it is clean. I hope you all have enjoyed this experience and thanks a lot. From Nebraska, Andrew. Quote

fedoragent Posted October 24, 2010 Report Posted October 24, 2010 Sir, That looks wonderful! Originally that was the color that I wanted my car to be. However, now I have new plans. However, I do envy you, as it is all new to you. The excitement is beyond description. Congrats man. FG. Quote
BobT-47P15 Posted October 24, 2010 Report Posted October 24, 2010 Andrew, despite all the dirt, the body looks good. I see it has some nice accessories.....the sun visor, spotlight, fog lamps and chrome gravel shields on the rear fenders. Good color, too. Congratulations on your new ride. Quote
Beatles65 Posted October 24, 2010 Author Report Posted October 24, 2010 And here are the pictures of the car when we arrived home. Quote

RobertKB Posted October 24, 2010 Report Posted October 24, 2010 Always fun to get an "new" old car home. I have a feeling that the old girl will clean up pretty well. Pictures of the engine and interior would be great. Looks like you may be able to get it on the road relatively quickly. Is the engine a-goner or is there hope for it? Quote

Niel Hoback Posted October 24, 2010 Report Posted October 24, 2010 Indeed, it is a club coupe. IMHO, the nicest looking body style there is. Quote
mackster Posted October 24, 2010 Report Posted October 24, 2010 nice to see two survivor cars with all the accessories on them!!!! look real neat! Quote
BobT-47P15 Posted October 24, 2010 Report Posted October 24, 2010 So my car is called a Club Coupe?? Club coupe is the one with two seats. A business coupe only has one seat. Other differences in body style, but seats is the first clue. Quote
