I was just on the Grainger site and the 5/16 X 1 doesn't have a shoulder but the 5/16 X 1 and 1/2 does? I wonder why they don't make a 1 inch with the shoulder?

aero3113,

Most speed shops carry pressure plate bolts, usually sold on a card in packs of 6, by Mr. Gasket or one of the other big names.

These look like what you are looking for:

The link is for Summit; I'm sure Jegs has them, too.

Good luck!

I went to the local speed shop (S&K Speed) and they had the bolts. They are an inch long but I really do not think the 1/8th of an inch is going to make a difference. LoL, now I have extras if anyone needs them. Thanks for the help guys! :D

When I got home from work today I installed the clutch, bell housing and bearing. You can see in one of the pics that the 1 inch bolts work fine and are just about flush with the flywheel. Should I be able to push the clutch fork in by hand? I cant move it, do you need the leverage from the pedal to operate it?

Yes, new clips came with my new bearing and sleeve, do you want my old clips? Not sure if they will be tighter than what you have now though.

Clutch springs are pretty stiff, don't thik any mormal dude could move them just pushing on the throwout arm. Plus you have the big overcenter spring ont he clutch pedal giving you its assist also.

Charlie Sheen could do it.

I bought some gasket material and made a gasket for the transmission. I made a photo copy of the gasket and will scan it tomorrow at work and post the PDF if anyone wants to keep it on file.

I was able to pick up the engine hoist at my friends house today (he took it to swap a engine for his friend). I hooked up the engine and stood it up,installed the front motor mount, alternator bracket, starter, oil filter, oil lines and stuck the distributor in. Hopefully I will have some time this weekend to install the engine in the car. Included is a pic of what the cork gasket for the distributor looks like (sorry its blurry)

I gave my friend a ring today to see if he was around to help me put the engine in today, he was available! We had the engine installed in about 30 minutes. Again the hood was installed and had no issues :D. I ordered new plug wires the other day, they should be arriving on Monday. I went with 90deg plugs this time instead of the straight ones.
