Frank Elder Posted July 23, 2010 Report Posted July 23, 2010 I just reviewed your threads, Fireball. You have really done a great job! I love the marbelized interior effect and the incorporation of the V-6/AX15 is neat. I'm getting ready to do a SB Mopar (360) and AX15, so I'll likely be asking questions when I get to that stage. What did you end up with as a radiator? What is an AX15? Quote
40plmczy Posted July 23, 2010 Report Posted July 23, 2010 Congrats fireball, I remember it seeing it on the hamb when it was orange. shawn Quote
Frank Elder Posted July 24, 2010 Report Posted July 24, 2010 I liked the thread were it was painted in that teeny tiny garage!!! Quote
rockable Posted July 24, 2010 Report Posted July 24, 2010 What is an AX15? It's the 5 speed transmission used with the 3.9 from the mid to late 90's. Also it was used in Jeeps, Toyotas and others. Quote
Fireball Posted July 24, 2010 Author Report Posted July 24, 2010 I liked the thread were it was painted in that teeny tiny garage!!! And the best part is that now I have color matching tools too Quote

BobT-47P15 Posted March 11, 2011 Report Posted March 11, 2011 Thanks for sharing the finished (or Finnish) article. The car speaks for itself.....don't have to understand the words. The magazine folks did a nice job. Quote
Fireball Posted March 11, 2011 Author Report Posted March 11, 2011 Actually my former car, I sold it last autumn:(. It's still reciding in my garage though, I have made some further improvements for the new owner. Clutch is now hydraulic operated instead of linkage, installed new balljoints etc. minor updating. Thanks for the thumbs up anyways fellows. Quote
Young Ed Posted March 11, 2011 Report Posted March 11, 2011 Wow thats a surprise. Got a new project in mind? Quote

Hey Fireball,I've enjoyed following your progress on the rebuild of the Dodge over the last couple of years. It certainly wasn't a project for the faint of heart.Hope we haven't heard the last of you on the forum.Good luck on your next project. Fireball Posted March 11, 2011 Author Report Posted March 11, 2011 Wow thats a surprise. Got a new project in mind? Always something in mind but this year my HD will be the victim and sees the axe. I'm spending next june in FL with family, let's see if something follows me home from that trip. But nothing is granted, my job is threatened now third year in a roll so things may change quickly. On drag racing side our team switches over to Top Alcohol dragster so that pretty much consumes plenty of my time during the summer, along riding my bike. Quote
Mark D Posted March 11, 2011 Report Posted March 11, 2011 Very nice car. Cool to see you are from Oulu! My wife's family is from Oulunsalo. We have many friends in Oulu as well as in Raahe. Going to drop a note and have them bring me a copy of the magazine when they come visit in two weeks! Ehkä näen sinun auton vieressä vierailu Ouluun! Terveisia, Mark Quote
Fireball Posted March 12, 2011 Author Report Posted March 12, 2011 How cool is that Mark! My home is 5 miles from Oulunsalo airport, in a tiny village called Tupos. Quote
Mark D Posted March 12, 2011 Report Posted March 12, 2011 I've driven by Tupos many times on the E8. Last visit was this past August. I recall seeing many new houses on the stretch of road. My wife's cousins live in Pellonpää, quite near the airport. Husband and wife both work for Nokia in Oulu. He's originally from Pattijoki, she's from Oulunsalo. Love seeing so many old American cars when I travel around Finland. Always surprised to see so many 50's cadillacs roaming around over there. Kippis! Quote
Fireball Posted March 13, 2011 Author Report Posted March 13, 2011 Small world, for 16 years Nokia has been my employer too;) Quote
