For those whoe were there, was there any mention of the location of any 2011 event/s?

No mention of it on any of the POC based sites. I know its early but there usually seems to be info on the upcoming events at the national.

The club site refers to the events being on the discussion list the discussion list only has 2010 events. So anybody know who's hosting and where???

It was announced that there will be a summer national meet in California in 2011. At present the Golden State Region is trying to quickly come up with the venue and get things started on planning for that. At present the location is a fairly nebulous "between Santa Maria and Santa Rosa" (about 300 miles between those two locations).

I believe that the national club is trying to get another region to step up and host another national meet somewhere else in the country too.

Didn't you guys just do one a couple years ago??? One would thing the locatioins would be staggered between coasts and the central part of the country. One year is a bit of short notice to organize a national isn't it???

I agree with you entirely.

But the national organization doesn't actually put on the national shows, regions do. Apparently as of the time of Portland meet no region had offered to do a meet for next year. So the Golden State Region is stepping into the breach. And yes, there really isn't enough time to organize it.

If you have any influence with regions in other parts of the country please get them to step up to the plate. If not for next year then for 2012 and 2013.

We had some discussion about hosting one in MN soon. Its been a while for us. Nothing firm yet but I wouldn't be surprised if it happens fairly soon
