It's March already! Hope this is the last of the snow for Nebraska.

I feel your pain... we are still getting snow in Idaho too. Quite a lot less than last year though. There was still three feet in my yard at this time last year. This January was the driest on record for the valley I live in.

I heard on a news cast someplace that Omaha had 18" early in the morning already and still coming hard. I realize thats a subburb of Pappillion. AND its a long way north to south,,,east to west,,,but what was your totals???

Around here the 'official' gauge must be under a shade tree because both rain and snow doesnt add up as fast there as here a mile away! Either that or the reader needs new glasses(me or them)

I would gladly share just the skiff I got,,,too much for me. 'Gravel' ,,ooops now mud,,, Roads are amuck and geting worse

The closest suburb to where I live had 14.5 inches of snow on the news last night. And it was still snowing! I haven't heard the official total yet but I think its finally done coming down. I'm off to get a new snowblower after work :)

I am in Sioux City and I don't even want to know how much snow we have had. My snowblower died last year and I keep telling myself that shoveling is good for me!!!. I am getting some ice damming which I have never had at this house. I have been here 18 years. Last weeks snow was wet and a real back breaker. This weeks has been lighter but so far the ind has made it a waste time shoveling. March is the brek through month. No matter what happens , you can see light at the end of the tunnel. I am looking forward to Spring when I can get my car back on the road. Eric

Papillion is on the south edge of Omaha. We had about 14 inches yesterday. I bought a used snow blower from the mom and pop hardware store years ago for $400. I found out it was the owners (he traded up for a bigger model), and they operated a small engine repair. I still tell the wife that's the best money I've ever spent. I keep telling myself it's March, and it will all be over soon. Mean while, the first swap meet of the season is next weekend in Lincoln.

Pat, although Alberta has much milder winters than Manitoba, I believe we have hotter, more humid summers here, you absolutely need A/C in your houses and cars here in summer, the nights in July and August can be unberablyhot. I think you guys are more prone to late in the year snow falls and even summer snow at times. But I have seen some snow here in early May a few times, never in June July or August. Winnipeg has had snow in every month but July and August......Fred
