Gregammon Posted May 4, 2010 Report Posted May 4, 2010 Has anyone done business with "The Car Cover company" part of Day to Day Imports? They advertise in almost every car section of Ebay. I bought a cover from them. It was way too big for my 1947 4 door. They did not respond to multiple e-mails and phone calls. When I did get someone to answer I was told to shut-up and not call back. I guess I will just have to write it off to a bad internet purchase. Greg Quote
blueskies Posted May 4, 2010 Report Posted May 4, 2010 Dang, that sucks... I wonder if you could have someone with a sewing machine alter it to fit? For what it's worth, I bought my cover from California Car Covers, and it fits like a glove. Pete Quote
cwcars88 Posted May 4, 2010 Report Posted May 4, 2010 I have 4 of them from Califirnia Car Cover they all fit great, they are a little pricey, but this is one place I guess you get what you pay for. Quote
Plymouthy Adams Posted May 4, 2010 Report Posted May 4, 2010 regardless of the place and company that was a bit off hand to say the least..it defines the nature of the beast where the internet sales does not have to depend on happy satisfied returning customers..one man, one sale move along Betty..E-bay has not teeth...its always seems like you throwing dice everytime you bid..how much bigger is too big? Young Ed Posted May 5, 2010 Report Posted May 5, 2010 How did you pay for it? How recently? Dispute it through ebay or paypal. Or with your credit card. Quote
48P15Annie Posted May 5, 2010 Report Posted May 5, 2010 I hate, and will never use a car cover! ESPECIALLY on a dark car(my Plymouth is Chevron Blue). I don't care how clean the car and cover is, it swirls around and scratches it. Seen it happen far too many times on my dad's dark burgundy 70 Chevelle SS. I would rather run the California duster over it everyday than use a cover! Quote
cwcars88 Posted May 5, 2010 Report Posted May 5, 2010 To help eliminate the scratches I lift both sides of my cover up to the center of the car, roll one end to the center and then roll the other end to the center. I now have two rolls about 3 feet long on the roof, and lift them off the car. This way I never slide the cover over the paint. Quote
Dodgeb4ya Posted May 6, 2010 Report Posted May 6, 2010 I use California car covers also- top of the line versions-no problems and fit perfect but pricey too. Bob Quote
