B1C brake band needed

Anyone have a good servicable brake band for a 3 speed B1C? I don't want to send mine out to a reliner w/o having a spare to use in case it gets lost. Please pm me if you can help out. Thanks-Mike

www.brakeplace.com will sell you the supplies to reline it yourself. pretty straightforward task

If you reline it yourself how do you adhere it to the metal band.

Rivets. Same way the original one was. You countersink the head below the brake material. Will be good for a long long time as long as you don't drive with the brake on(I did that last fall when storing my truck so I'll have to check that now that its coming out of storage)

I may have one. Measure the width ( 2" or 2-1/2") and diameter (re: 6" or 7" brake drum)

Thanks guys. This is a B1C with the floor shifted 3 speed. The drum is bigger than a 1/2 ton 3 speed. I'll try to get a measurement on it tomorrow. Please pm me if you have something usable. I'm not sure I want to dig into that rear seal right now until I drive it some to see the results of my valve job. The tranny was overfilled, so I don't know if she'll leak now or not. Thanks. Mike

MBFowler: A new liner from Vintagepowerwagons is only $5.00. Going to order one, then see how much oil leaks from my tranny. Don't see me putting too many miles on it at first. I have never driven a Pilot-house so getting anxious to experience that before I sink lots of $$$$.
