Joe Flanagan Posted February 24, 2010 Report Posted February 24, 2010 Joe, does it kinda look like this thing! Kinda, yeah. It's all front end and a stubby back end. What is the car in the picture? Quote
dezeldoc Posted February 24, 2010 Report Posted February 24, 2010 Kinda, yeah. It's all front end and a stubby back end. What is the car in the picture? 48 Saratoga, straight 8 car, almost as long as a limo! Quote
Joe Flanagan Posted February 25, 2010 Report Posted February 25, 2010 Wow. I thought it looked kind of long. That's one of the features I'm not crazy about with mine. I heard they put the straight 8 in PT boats during WWII. Is that true? Quote
dezeldoc Posted February 25, 2010 Report Posted February 25, 2010 I don't know about that but for fun we put 2 440's end to end in the engine bay and had room for the radiator! Quote
Frank Elder Posted February 25, 2010 Report Posted February 25, 2010 I've been waiting a long time on here for a thread called ironic......thanks Mike, this is my version of Ironic. Quote
desoto1939 Posted February 25, 2010 Report Posted February 25, 2010 I think the nicest 30's Desoto was the 33 Roaster witht he Chromed Miller from Grill. I have attached a picture. It has the short cropped chromed windshield. It looked like a hotrod back when they were produced. This model is the Custom because of the fancy headlight. I have seen several of these and they by far are a real classic looking car for the day when they were produced. Rich Hartung Quote

You mention this like it is a problem.... :D:D If your Plym wont be on the road, I suppose you will just have to hitch a ride with Don C instead. Pete Quote
