Hey Joe, we have both wide open and heavily treed, behind my house the bush is a mile wide by at least 2 miles deep, open land across the road, with bluffs here and there.

In the city of Winnipeg, many of it's neighbourhoods look just like the pics that you guys have posted. But I am 18 miles north of the city limits, not really out there as there are houses, farms, and bedroom communites and devlopments all over, and the huge Lake Winnipeg is only 10 miles up the Highway, lots of cottage and development on there.

PS never seen 20 foot drifts here in my lifetime, but 5 foot I have seen lots of times, big storms produce 3 to 4 foot drifts ona regular basis

Hey Tim, been walking on snow and ice all my life, during the winter, hardly ever fall. Thanx I had my coffee already, might go for a nice walk about, checking out the nature, and such, then will come back and have another cup of coffee, then 3 eggs, hasbrowns, canadian bacon, and Winnipeg style rye bread toast, chokecherry jam, yumyumyum, life is good.

I do not envy the boys on the east coast, we almost never get snowfalls like that up here, although the snow stays for the winter, once it falls, good thing as my septic field if frozen would not be fun, that would be a real PITA

Here is the place for sun-tanning today.

Fred...go outside..free your mind..think of me in Georgia drinking a hot cup of coffee..now fall face forward in the snow and come back to the keyboard and report what went through your mind as the show hit your face..

I managed to catch a picture of Joe after he took your advice, looks like he's makin' progress.

Not as much snow as you guys, but a bit cold, nonetheless...

This is what the roof of my truck looked like in the mornings with the recent cold snap...

That's a pretty cool layer of hoar frost. Mother Nature sure can make some pretty designs all on her own.

You guy's down under have it made, First I see that dodge had a three window coupe that was not for sale in the US then while we have winter you cats have summer on the water. It's to much for me to take. I have a childhood friend that went down under and opened a martial arts school "Jow Ga" He has always wanted me to come down there now I might have to. The water looks great! I would have to dig out of here first:mad:

I have been many places in my life and time. There is no place like home:) No matter how bad thr weather is or the wind, rain......what am I saying:eek:

Good luck everybody with what ever you have to deal with.

Who sent that to you?

Seriously, I was out working the other day in the garage. The temps were in the high 30s. I had to quit because the darn wrenches and everything else were so cold it was killing my hands and I can't work with gloves on. Never have been able to.

What part of Canada are you in, looks like 52 in Vancouver is doing well, you must be somewhere warmer than this....

I'm out in the valley from Vancouver..Abbotsford..we are usually a few degrees warmer then Vancouver since we don't get the winds off the water.
